Port Orange Computers Warranty and Return Policy
Custom-built Systems and Special Orders:
Custom-built computers, special-order branded computers, bare-bones systems, and any custom-ordered hardware or software are considered special orders and are non-returnable and non-refundable. These products are covered by a limited parts and labor warranty of one (1) year from the invoice date. Any additional warranties on parts, if applicable, must be obtained directly from the manufacturer by the customer.
Software:
The Windows operating system software is sold as-is and carries no warranty. Port Orange Computers does not provide warranty coverage for any software installed by the customer. Additionally, we do not cover the repair and labor costs required to restore a system affected by third-party hardware or software installed by the customer.
Exclusions from Warranty Coverage:
This warranty does not cover power supplies or any internal computer components that show signs of lightning or surge damage upon inspection by a Port Orange Computers technician. Windows operating system support is available for an initial 30-day period, after which further support may incur a fee. Additional support for Windows may be obtained directly from Microsoft. Support for other software applications is available only through their respective manufacturers.
Warranty Service Location and Conditions:
All warranty services are provided exclusively at our Port Orange location. Any repairs performed by third parties will void the warranty. Customers agree that Port Orange Computers reserves the right to void the warranty if the system is found to have been damaged due to improper installation, inadequate surge protection, or acts of God.
Software Sales and Subscriptions:
All software and software subscription sales are final and non-returnable. Any applicable software warranties must be handled directly through the manufacturer.
New Product Warranty:
All new products sold by Port Orange Computers come with a one (1) year limited warranty against manufacturer defects, except for new power supply units, which are covered by a manufacturer warranty. Power supply units exhibiting surge damage are not covered. It is the customer's responsibility to pursue any additional warranties available after the expiration of Port Orange Computers' warranty.
Technical Support and Installation:
Port Orange Computers does not offer free technical support or installation instructions for individual parts or accessories. Technical support and installation services are available for a nominal fee, payable in advance by cash or credit card. Fees for support and installation are non-refundable, and support is provided by scheduled callback service only.
Labor Warranty:
A thirty (30) day labor warranty is provided for all work performed by our service department. This warranty will be void if the customer installs unsupported devices or software that adversely affect prior services or if the system becomes infected with viruses or malware. Customers are required to read and sign all service invoices when checking in or out any equipment. By signing, the customer agrees to all terms and conditions outlined herein.
Data Integrity:
Port Orange Computers is not responsible for any data stored on the customer’s hard drive or other storage devices before, during, or after service. While we make efforts to protect data integrity during service, we cannot be held liable for any data loss. We strongly recommend customers back up important data prior to submitting equipment for service.
By purchasing from Port Orange Computers, the customer agrees to these terms and conditions of sale.
