Service Agreement

1. Disclaimer

1.1 Port Orange Computers is dedicated to providing quality computer services, repairs, and upgrades as requested by the customer. Our goal is to deliver honest, reliable, and efficient service, but specific outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

1.2 Services are provided with the understanding that certain conditions may render your computer irreparable, requiring a rebuild or upgrade (e.g., due to age, obsolescence of parts like memory chips, or motherboards).

1.3 The time required to complete services or repairs cannot be precisely predicted.

1.4 There is a potential for data loss during the repair process. It is assumed that you have backed up your data, as Port Orange Computers will not be held liable for any data loss or damage in the absence of backups.

1.5 By requesting our services, you authorize technicians to install necessary software, including antivirus programs, for the purpose of completing repairs. Any such software will be uninstalled upon completion of the service.

2. Billing Terms

2.1 Computer labor services, repairs, and parts are billed as quoted or as communicated verbally. For non-warranty in-store or remote services, a minimum $50 deposit (diagnostic fee) is required to begin work, which will be credited toward the final bill. This fee is non-refundable. Onsite services require a $100 deposit to schedule.

2.2 An estimate for services will be provided before work begins. However, estimates are not guaranteed.

2.3 If unforeseen issues or additional hardware needs arise, we will make every effort to inform you and obtain approval before proceeding.

2.4 If contact cannot be made, work will stop until we can reach you. We will respect your decision to continue or discontinue the service once contact is made.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 Full payment is due upon completion of services, upgrades, or repairs.

3.2 Advance payment is required for the purchase of computer parts, hardware, and software that are ordered or specially requested.

3.3 Port Orange Computers accepts payments via cash, credit card, debit card, and PayPal.

4. Liability

4.1 Our services are intended to repair, upgrade, or restore your computer as requested.

4.2 Every effort is made to repair your computer without causing intentional harm.

4.3 In the event of accidental data loss or damage caused by pre-existing issues (e.g., viruses, misconfigured software, or hardware failures), you agree to hold Port Orange Computers and its personnel harmless from any resulting damages.

4.4 It is your responsibility to ensure your data is backed up. Port Orange Computers is not liable for any data loss.

4.5 Port Orange Computers’ liability will not exceed the depreciated market value of a similar computer in comparable condition at the time of service. This liability is limited to hardware only, with no compensation for software or data loss. It is your responsibility to maintain appropriate backups.

5. Support

5.1 Customer satisfaction is our top priority.

5.2 All services will be conducted in a professional, timely, and reasonable manner, considering the nature of the work.
